Invitation to 1st China-Europe Chess Tournament
in Munich on 29-30 Jan 2011
German Xiangqi Association (DXB) will undertake the 1st China-Europe Chess Tournament in Munich on 29-30 January 2011. The tournament is combined with an International Chess Festival co-sponsored by Schachclub Vaterstetten e.V. and Confucius Class Munich. Meanwhile DXB will invite Chinese pupil chess delegation from Nanjing and Jiangyin to visit Munich and participate in the tournament during the event. On Jan.28 (Friday) at 18.30-20.30 there will be a Xiangqi-Seminar in TU Munich named “Chinese Chess goes into German Campus”. The 1st China-Europe Chess Tournament promises to be a great milestone of Chess globalization. All the friends and Chess fans are invited to the tournament and seminar, regardless of masters, beginners or look-ons.

Regulation and Timing: 6 rounds Swiss System, for Xiangqi, Western Chess and Weiqi, internationally accepted Rules will be adopted, 50 minutes per party per game plus 10 seconds increment per movement.

Prize:
Certificate and trophy for the winners of individual (1-8), team (1-3, 3 players formed each team integrated in individual tournament), best Non-Asian players (1-6), best woman player and best youth player.
Entrance fee:
Each player will be charged 25 EUR for covering organizational cost and meals, students and pupil 50% discount. Members of DXB will be waived from entrance fee and meals expenses.
